When Dino's Attack

Travis attack Mac for about a half an hour with this dino... LOL - he laughed almost as much when the dino played peek-a-boo as when he was attacked. I LOVE his laugh!!!

Deals for the week- February 20-27th

So I am not a huge Target fan usually ( I don't like their corporate sponsorship policies) but... I will shop there for free or cheap cheap stuff!

So-Round 1:
Target
(1) pair of jeans regular 19.99 - priced at 4.98
(2) Finish quantum tabs regularly 3.99 - priced at 2.50
-used (2) target finish coupons:  target coupons
-used (2) finish manufacturer coupons: Finish coupons
-used 1 Target $5 off coupon for denim = free jeans target coupons
 (1) vinyl table cloth regular 9.99 on clearance for 1.49
Total: $1.52
It would have been $0 or just tax, but I thought the table cloth would be a good "craft" cloth.

Had Trav print off more finish q's and going back to get more tomorrow! (maybe score some "after diet" jeans too.. we'll see)


Walgreens: I just ran in there today to get some free dish soap- I had some gain coupons from the P&G Facebook give away a while back and so I got 4 gain dish soaps and only paid the tax $ 00.28. Lets just say the cashier thought I was trying to steal something and voided the transaction and did it over again.

Going to go back to target and get some more finish tabs, maybe score some veggies... Target it running a buy 7 frozen foods and get $5 gc... with birdseye veggie coupons and this deal, we should be able to get some deals! Well... maybe.

Like life, couponing is all about flexibility and pre-planning with the expectation that nothing will work out fully the way you planned :-)

Gearing up...

So - I am not usually a diet fad person, but I need to get my weight under control. Trav and I have decided that losing the weight is more important than our $50 a week budget - though I am definitely going to try and stick to that as much as I possibly can (Aldi's here I come!). So- we are starting our new "eating" habit on Monday. *Sigh*.... So, hopefully I will be able to keep this up. Unfortunately I won't be able to exercise so much becuase of my stupid foot and clutzy behavior. So... my blog might turn into a little bit of the "what i ate today" kind of thing... hm...

Week of 1/31 shopping trip

So I spent a little more this week than I planned... but... I am pretty happy with the overall. I considered this to be a "stocking up" trip and then will buy fillers the rest of the month.

Meijer:

Gerber onesies- . (Meijer had b2g1 and I had coupons from gerber's website... ) so I got 3 5 packs of gerber onesies for $13....saved at least $17 on them. These are presents- so don't really factor in the $50 total but will come out of our gift savings

Chi-chi's salsa-  Free! On sale for $.99  had .50 q that my store doubles

Dove bodywash- free! was on sale for 1.99 and had mperks q for $1 and a man q for $1 yay!

Ragu- .(Meijer) $1 for 2 had man q and mperks q! (kind of spaced here though. I bought 4 thinking I could get 4 for as good a deal... forgot that my mperks q only applies to 2... booo on me=- still a good deal at 2 for $1.76 - not stock up.. but decent... and we eat LOTS of spaghetti)

Orville popcorn: Meijer had BOGO and I had man q for $1 off 2 - ended  up being 1.99 for 2 boxes... so i stocked up.

Pampers and huggies wipes: .99 - on sale for 1.99 and had .50q for each that doubles

Ham: On sale for 1.29lb from 2.99lb so instead of $29 it was $12 and change- this will be good for lunches and meals for this week

Cheese: (3) Kraft singles (pepperjack) on sale for 1.94 each and had (3) .75 manuf q's- again- not a stock up price but good to be used to lunches for Trav MUCH cheaper than deli slices and just as good. 

Cheese: (3) Kraft shredded cheese- on sale for 1.66 each. Had (3) .75 manuf q's but forgot to give them to the cashier, if i had it would have a been a better deal... so... not stock up, but a decent deal when you need cheese. I will freeze it and make sure it gets used well. 

Chi-chi's torillas .88 - - I went to get the tortillas that were on sale for 1.69 but they were sold out (apparently everyone thought snow=fajitas) so i got the 1.88 ones. I had a manuf q for .50 that my store doubled. I will go back later this week and see if I can't get the bigger cheaper package with the rest of my tortilla qs. They freeze well and we eat them often.

Temptations Cat Treats: .95 for 2 packages. On sale for 2 for $3. had a BOGO q and a .55 off q so I got 2 for .95 (I wish I had more q's this is a GREAT price!!!)

Glade oil candles - on sale for 2/$5 - had a manuf q for $1 off 2 and an mperks q for $1 off 2 .. not a  stock up price, but decent 

Skippy- on sale for 2.67 - had .50 manuf q that doubled so 1.67 for peanut butter. eh.. it was ok. cheaper than the off brand :-D

Pringles: on sale for 1.23 each had coupon for $1 off two = .73 each... not bad though I miss the times of $1 pringles in the big cans... *sigh*

Also had a mperks $ off coupon so I got celery, potatoes and carrots for free. It expired 1/31 or i might have bought that stuff next week as it's more for this weekend/next weeks meals (yay chicken soup!)

Kmart:  Is doubling q's up to $2 (First get a Shopyourway Rewards card, then you have to spend $25 before qs to get it... so you have to have high value qs and you only get to double 5 coupons...all other coupons can be used... but anyway ) so I got from them:

 Dove deoderant (2) - .25 each (didn’t double these)

Pampers wipes – free (on sale for 2.5 and had a 1.5 q doubled... )

4 boxes of ritz crackers .88 each (LOVE these and we usually can't afford them!) Onsale for 2.5 had kmart q for 1.88 each and had man q for $1/2 which doubled... so .88 each!!!

Johnson’s baby bodywash 20oz I think- 1.25 – I don’t want to spend $ on this stuff... but we were out

Airwicks plug ins freshners- 5.99 had $2 q that doubled... 1.99 for a double pack..

Kroger: Has a sale if you buy 10 of participating products you get $5 off your purchase. I wouldn't have bought 10 if i wasn't going to use them- but bc i had coupons and/or they were present I did it.

sobes-13.5 (18 of them) Bought my DH’s valentines present... SOBE’s (lol we can’t afford them in out budget but they were .75 each and I have some money saved for v-day. He will appreciate this more than candy and such ... :-D)
